Officials in Medina Stress Favorable Situation of Services to Provided to Pilgrims Compared to Previous Hajj

The Hajj officials stressed in the joint meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization that the surveys and investigations conducted show that the provision of services to pilgrims is more favorable than last year.

According to the Hajj Information Base, during the meeting held in Medina under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the head of the Iranian pilgrims, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyed Abbas Hosseini reported on the status of pilgrims' traffic to Masjid Al-Haram and increasing the use of pilgrims.


He mentioned the Internet in hotels and the measures taken for the proper use of Internet bandwidth, the services that hotels should provide to pilgrims, and common viral diseases in Hajj and among pilgrims.


Hosseini announced the number of pilgrims who have visited the holy land as of Sunday more than 52,000 and considered the process of receiving pilgrims' visas as normal.


In the continuation of this meeting, Mr. Javad Danesh, Assistant Chief of Staff of Medina, reported about pilgrims' entering this city, Jeddah and Makkah and said that 30,071 people have made the pilgrimage in the form of 203 caravans with 662 buses.


The meeting continued with the report of Mr. Mohammad Massoumi, the representative of Iran Air, about the number of flights made to Medina and Jeddah airports and the reasons for the delay in some flights.


"Iranian pilgrims from different provinces are being transported to Saudi Arabia with 18 to 19 flights," Massoumi said. 


 In addition, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab requested to take appropriate measures to reduce the duration of flight delays and the return of pilgrims to the country as planned.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also asked the people involved in the field of pilgrimage to review the contracts concluded in the host country for renting hotels and to present clear demands from the hoteliers.


Emphasizing that the main part of this spiritual journey includes attending the days of Tashriq and performing the practices and rituals of Hajj, which is approaching, he clarified: If the host country fulfills the wishes of the pilgrims by holding some programs such as complete prayers, this cooperation will lead to the satisfaction of the pilgrims of Baitullah Al-Haram will lead to an increase in popularity.


Stating that providing better services to the pilgrims will lead to the satisfaction of the pilgrims, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs expressed the hope that with the efforts of all the officials and those involved in the Hajj 1402 and the interaction, cooperation and companionship of the pilgrims, "we will witness a successful Hajj".
